Love and laughter
Love this story from a Focus on the Family article by Les and Leslie Parrot:
A woman discovered a shelf of reduced-price items at a local bookstore. Among the gifts was a little figurine of a man and woman, their heads lovingly tilted toward one another. "Happy 10th Anniversary" read the inscription. It appeared to be in perfect condition, yet its tag indicated "damaged." Examining it more closely, she found another tag underneath that read "Wife is coming unglued."
The Parrots go on to talk about how important it is to laugh, even when you don't feel like it. Laughter reduces stress. It brings perspective. It helps you avoid coming unglued. And, it's good for your marriage.
This is a reminder I need to tuck away where I have easy access for those humorless days. In fact, I think it's time to be proactive and get intentional about finding ways to laugh with Jeremy. Maybe we can go rollerskating together. THAT would be good for a laugh or 2,000, I'm sure!
How about you? What's your favorite way to bring a little laughter into your marriage?
